"During the year 2025, I completed the subjects Quality and Safety Management and Community Health Promotion, both of which are part of my academic curriculum. These subjects were fundamental in strengthening my knowledge and reinforcing my commitment to responsible, ethical, and person-centered health care.
The subject Quality and Safety Management is particularly relevant, as it provides the foundations to ensure dignified, safe, and respectful treatment for all people, regardless of their social or cultural background. This learning emphasizes the importance of working under quality standards, preventing risks, and promoting safe practices, which directly contributes to building trust between the community and health services.
On the other hand, Community Health Promotion highlights the importance of working closely and collaboratively with the community. It encourages listening, identifying real community needs, and developing actions together with the population, while respecting cultural identity and local forms of organization. In the context of Rapa Nui, this approach strengthens communication and supports health initiatives that are appropriate to the local reality.
Overall, the knowledge gained from both subjects supports a way of working based on quality, safety, and community engagement. These skills help promote more responsible health practices and improve communication with the community, contributing to health actions that are aligned with the local context of Rapa Nui."
