Field of Study:

Social Work; Universidad Andres Bello

To begin, my first interaction with social workers was through a difficult period in my childhood and youth. Therefore, I was given a lot of support to obtain the necessary tools to move forward and improve my living condition, so I developed a great interest in providing the same assistance to other people who go through similar situations, that is why I decided to study and get feedback on the career of Social Work and be a contribution to my community.

Since the main approach is to use intervention to improve common well-being.

Social work is an important role to promote a cultural identity, it contributes directly to the communities in this case “Rapa-Nui”, improving mental health conditions for the inhabitants by implementing programs, workshops and training where access to job opportunities is achieved by contributing to a higher quality of life. As a social worker, I would be an exceptional intermediary to guarantee my Rapa-Nui community access to essential and basic services, defending and strengthening their rights and sustainable development.
