Field of Study:

Architecture; Universidad de Valparaiso

Among the subjects that were most relevant due to their direct contribution to my education, the following stand out: Energy Efficiency: This course allowed me to understand the characteristics of various construction materials, evaluating their efficiency in terms of both resource use and cost. These tools are essential for designing more sustainable and accessible buildings. Inhabiting Heritage: In this subject, we analyzed the importance and relevance of different heritage sites, highlighting their characteristics, benefits, and associated risks. Additionally, we learned about the need to respect and preserve these spaces when constructing or intervening in them, ensuring their integration into the urban environment. Coastal Settlements: This was the most significant for me, as it addresses key factors when designing in coastal areas, such as tidal changes, how cities respond to these dynamics, the design of docks, and the connection between urban life and the coast. This knowledge is fundamental for my future thesis, as working on an island will require applying these tools to make more precise and effective projections.
