What I want to learn from agriculture and farming systems abroad and from agriculture-related careers is to be more productive and take better care of our island, how to better protect our land. The first thing for me is knowledge and how to carry all the wisdom and knowledge of agriculture. To work with the families of Rapa Nui, to work with my community. Young people are learning and studying to know how to do the work and to be able to return to our land with all this knowledge that we have learned with all the years of studies we have been having to be able to provide better tools and opportunities to the next generations. For example, what I want to implement is a good irrigation system, how to better manage animal husbandry, how to plant and cultivate with outside machinery to be able to have better efficiency in the crops, how to take care of our crops from pests and diseases, how to create greenhouses to be able to have a more controlled crop, how to better manage money and resources to be able to do larger jobs in Rapa Nui. The wisdom that educational institutions give us is to give back our knowledge to Rapa Nui. What I want is to help my community, to help my family to take care of our land.
