The classes I have had in 2024 have been important because they are forming me in my professional career, which has a great impact on my development, that is why they are important, because they are the basis of what is to come.
As an electrical engineering student, the knowledge and skills acquired can have a direct and positive impact on the sustainable development of Rapa-Nui. My training in this area will allow me to address various challenges facing the island, such as energy supply, technological infrastructure and the use of renewable energy.
Rapa-Nui depends on external energy sources and their associated costs. With my knowledge, I can contribute to the development and implementation of renewable energy systems, such as solar and wind. The good thing about the island is the climate, as it is favorable for solar energy, and with the installation of solar panels and wind turbines, we could generate electricity more autonomously, reducing dependence.
Improving the island's electrical infrastructure is key to the well-being of the community. I will be able to design and optimize local power grids, ensuring a constant and reliable supply of electricity in all areas of the island, which is critical for economic and social development. This would include improving facilities to reduce energy losses and increase efficiency.
Another example would be the use of smart technologies to manage electricity consumption, which can benefit both households and local businesses. With a proper system and control, we could optimize the use of electricity, which will be less costly for the community and a more responsible use of available resources.
All that for now, in the future could be other types of support, but for now that's what I have in mind.
