Recipient of the

Fraternal Order of Moai Award

Field of Study:

Commerical Engineering, Universidad de Artes, Ciencias y Communicaciones / UNIACC

My name is Alberto, and today I want to talk about two subjects I studied in 2024: Consumer Behavior and English. These classes were crucial for me both personally and professionally.

Why these classes were important Consumer Behavior taught me how people make decisions when buying products or services. This knowledge is vital for creating strategies that truly meet consumers' needs. On the other hand, the English course improved my communication skills in a globalized world, opening doors to connect with people from different cultures and learn from them.

Benefits for the Rapa Nui community With the knowledge I gained, I can help boost the economic and cultural development of my community. For example, applying Consumer Behavior strategies can enhance the promotion of local products like handicrafts or tourist services, highlighting their unique value. Additionally, speaking English helps in communicating with foreign visitors, providing them with a richer experience and sharing the Rapa Nui culture with the world.
