As a History Teacher and Education Graduate, I have spent the last 10 years working in the various schools on the island. Additionally, I have participated in diverse historical and educational projects with the community.
Key areas of focus include:
History of the Rapa Nui School: I have published two volumes on this topic.
Participation in projects on the history of modern architecture (mining company) in Mataveri, Hanga Piko, and Fundo Vaitea.
Experience as a teacher in both public and private schools on Rapa Nui.
Research on the Hoŋa’a re’o rapanui immersion program (preschool supported by the EIF).
Work on the protection of school archives at the Lorenzo Baeza Vega
School.
Participation in the EIF Leiden Congress 2022.
My primary concern has been the school and education on Rapa Nui, and all my experience has been linked to the territory and the community.
