Field of Study:

Sustainability, Administration, Managment; Universidad Mayor

"My dream is to be able to return to my native land and contribute to the community, applying all the knowledge and skills I have learned over the course of these long 5 years away from the place where I belong. All the tools I have learned at university, I have always directed towards our reality in Rapanui, identifying weaknesses and strengths within the construction sector. I would like to continue studying in the future and keep learning; I don't intend to stay in Rapanui my whole life, but rather to be able to explore new horizons with the intention of learning and being able to share it."

Of the classes completed in 2025, "I will choose Responsibility and Ethics in Construction and Quality Management, as they are of utmost importance to me because I have been able to realize how these subjects are applied in the workplace and their significance. Human resources are extremely important since people make up the institutions and relationships, so managing that well is very important for everything to function properly and as it should. On the other hand, CSR is important because, in order to work, we must have aligned ethical principles, as well as corporate responsibility and an understanding of how our decisions influence both the professional and civic context. Examples applied in reality could be that I had to carry out my professional practice in the Ma'u Henua Indigenous Community, where I realized how decisions regarding CSR can directly affect the functioning of the institution, generating internal problems in its operation.

Another example could be human resource management. As long as the workers are happy, we will be able to work together and be aligned to achieve the goals. Considering that Rapa Nui is a small community and we are all family or acquaintances, it is even more complex, which is why HR is very important."
