Joan Seaver Kurze

Dr. Joan Seaver Kurze earned her doctorate in Anthropology from UCLA. She, along with Dr. Georgia Lee, founded the Easter Island Foundation in the 1980's. Joan was the first president of the EIF, and much of her scholarly work focused on the wood carving traditions of the Rapa Nui people.
