Campo de estudio:

Engineering in Business Administration with a specialization in finance; Universidad Andrés Bello

"My interest in studying Business Administration arose when I realized that modern life operates through procedures, organization, rules, and regulations. I also became aware that physically demanding work can take a toll on one’s body, so I wanted to pursue a career that would not put my physical health at risk. However, my goal is to create a product or service that can contribute to the community.

I like my career because I see that I can help streamline processes that serve the common good, and because it is linked to the field of finance, which within economics is considered a key factor in human decision-making. Within this area, I am particularly interested in investment, as I want to learn how to make capital profitable.

I would like to promote financial education and investment among future generations, since in Rapa Nui, from my point of view, it is easier to access money from a young age compared to the mainland. Therefore, knowing how to manage money today is essential for progress.

I want to contribute to the efficient management and distribution of capital, optimizing available resources to strengthen key areas such as tourism, agriculture, culture, and fishing. Tourism, in particular, as an important source of income for Rapa Nui, can support—through projects—those who keep the culture alive, such as artisans, fishermen, farmers, divers, and others, in order to strengthen their daily work.

I would also like to contribute to addressing certain issues, such as the excess of vehicles or population growth, which leads to the construction of more houses and, consequently, increases the demand for electricity and water—resources that are non-renewable. Although there is currently the possibility of extracting water from underground sources, we do not know whether they will be able to meet future demand if consumption continues to rise."
