"During my third year as a pupil within the area of Sistema de Formación Valórica at Escuela Militar (2025), I have completed two courses, which are:

1.    – Logical Reasoning and Critical Thinking

2.    – History III

I passed both courses and, as a result, of these two courses, I further comprehended and deepened my knowledge in regards to how our State operates and the powers our State possesses.  Additionally, I also gained more precise knowledge regarding the role of our leaders, their field of attributions, and the execution of public policy.  I learned that these services, which were created by the State, are meant to serve the common good of every citizen.

This is also the case for Rapa Nui, which is a special territory, consecrated in Article 126bis) of our Constitution.  Currently, the indigenous Rapa Nui community is voting on a particular text that would legally grant Rapa Nui a unique authority to be able to manage their own territory.

And, as a result, and, as a member of the Rapa Nui community, I plan on:

A)   Sharing my opinion and participating when possible in community discussions and meetings focused on this indigenous consultation

B)   Providing supporting information to my peers (young person in Rapa Nui); such as documents, power points, and any additional material regarding this matter

C)   Motivating my friends and fellow Rapa Nui youth to be informed citizens and to participate in community forums, discussions and debates regarding this issue, whereby they could participate constructively and intelligently by having an understanding of how the State operates."
